AutoTran’s Water Wash Polymer Plates are processed in the same method as our Standard Polymer Print Plates. However, these plates are etched within a water bath rather than an alcohol solution. Our Water Wash Polymer Print Plates are manufactured to reach approximately 15,000 impressions and are very cost effective for short production runs. AutoTran, Inc. is very proud to be offering this environmentally sensitive product.
* As with all materials each has benefits, the eco-friendly Water Wash Material has received high praise from many of our customers. Since there is no use of denatured alcohol, some customers prefer this material for their operators. There is also a cost savings since there is no need to use anything other than tap water to wash these plates out.
AutoTran’s Thin Steel Printing Plates are designed to give you more impressions than any Photo-Polymer Plate. The steel surface on these plates is chemically etched with the printable image. These plates are expected to give you over 100,000 impressions.
* What you give up in convenience of making your plates in house you get back in longevity. If you have intermediate to long production runs this is the plate for your application.
AutoTran’s Standard Polymer Plate Material is our most affordable, reliable and best selling plate material. These are the most commonly used plates in the Pad Printing Industry. AutoTran’s Standard Green Polymer Plates are washed out with denatured alcohol. This material allows you to produce these plates in-house simply and affordably. Our Standard Plate Material is manufactured to reach approximately 15,000 impressions and is very cost effective for short production runs.
* The major benefit of alcohol wash print plates is their ability to resist humid environments. Since there is no water used in plate processing, the water that’s in the air does not soak into this material and therefore won’t effect it during printing.
AutoTran’s Premium Green Polymer Print Plates are our most specific plate material. Unlike all of our other plate materials, which can be etched at multiple depths to suit all applications, the Premium Green etches to a specific depth each time. The primary benefit of this material is for use in halftone and grayscale art applications. AutoTran’s Premium Green Polymer Print Plates are also washed out with denatured alcohol. Our Premium green Polymer Plate Material is manufactured to reach approximately 10,000 impressions and is very cost effective for short production runs.

AutoTran’s Premium Red Polymer Plate Material is our most durable polymer material. The surface of this material is embedded with glass to give these plates longevity and consistency. AutoTran’s Premium Red Polymer Plate Material is also washed out with denatured alcohol. Some of our customers have reported that they have received a maximum of approximately 150,000 impressions from one of our Premium Red Plates, an amazing statistic. We promote these plates as having the ability to reach approximately 40,000 impressions.

AutoTran’s newest print plate option is the BLAZE X laser print plates. Designed for tremendous detail, these plates can be made in under 1 minute and include a steel backing much like the polymer line of print plates. The focus of the BLAZE line is to create an economical print plate for short run applications with a very quick turnaround time. This leads to faster production and less downtime for operators. Involving a laser removes operator error and allows for a precise, accurate and repeatable process.
